FirstCare has developed relationships with networks with participating providers outside the FirstCare service area.
PPO members and members covered by an employer sponsored health plan, seeking health care outside the FirstCare service area, are encouraged to use a provider from the participating network identified on the back of the ID card. Using these for covered services will result in a higher level of benefit.
HMO members generally do not have an out of network benefit and should only access services from an out-of service area provider when in need of emergency services. In certain circumstances, a referral to an out of network provider may be obtained from the health plan. Please be sure to refer to your plan document. |
