We're here to help. For those who are affected by this disaster, know that you have FirstCare’s support and wishes for a safe and swift recovery. We serve more than 150,000 Texans, and we're here to aid you in any way we can—working with hospital systems, pharmacies, and other providers to ensure you get the care and medications you need.

  • Use the phone number listed for your plan; or
  • Fill out the electronic form and one of our representatives will contact you directly.

Care & Coverage Updates

If you are in one of the impacted counties, FirstCare will:
  • Authorize payment for necessary emergency and non-emergency services, medical equipment and supplies;
  • Lift provider network restrictions so members can get necessary health and dental services out-of-network, and extend any claim-filing deadlines as needed;
  • Authorize payment for up to a 90-day supply of covered prescriptions and/or remove restrictions on refilling too soon.
  • Coordinate with state regulatory agencies, such as Texas Medicaid, to ensure that members continue to receive services.
NOTE:  These actions remain in effect through the duration of the Governor's disaster declaration.
