As you may already know, in January 2019, Scott and White Health Plan, part of Baylor Scott & White Health, acquired FirstCare Health Plans. Over the last year we’ve been transitioning into one, first-rate organization, to provide you with exceptional service and expanded offerings. For the 2020-2021 plan year, we’ve combined our FirstCare Central Texas TRS offerings into one plan—with the Scott and White Care Plans name. Click here for details.

With the 2020-2021 Passive Renewal, all current FirstCare Central Texas Region members—who do not make a new selection—will be automatically enrolled in the TRS-ActiveCare HMO Scott and White Care Plans.

Your HMO plan includes in-network coverage from the renowned doctors, specialists and facilities of the Baylor Scott & White Health system throughout Texas—including a full-range of inpatient, outpatient, rehabilitation and emergency medical services. Expecting the Best® Maternity Program
FirstCare Health Plans is pleased to offer the Expecting the Best® maternity program, focused on helping expectant mothers enjoy a healthy pregnancy. Once enrolled, participants can benefit from diverse program features for the duration of their pregnancy and one year postpartum. Participants receive helpful educational materials across distinct categories, including proper nutrition, early identification of pregnancy risk factors and available resources for any complications.
