Due to the severe weather severe weather event that began on April 12, 2019, Governor Abbott issued a disaster declaration for the following counties:  Cherokee, Freestone, Houston, Leon, Madison, Nacogdoches, Robertson, San Augustine and Shelby.

For members impacted by the severe weather, know that you have FirstCare’s support and wishes for a safe and swift recovery. We serve more than 150,000 Texans, and we're here to aid you in any way we can—working with hospital systems, pharmacies, and other providers to ensure you get the care and medications you need.

Contact FirstCare's Customer Service Team for assistance accessing care and/or medical services:
  • Use the phone number listed for your plan; or
  • Fill out the electronic form and one of our representatives will contact you directly.

Helpful Tips & Phone Numbers

  • For emergencies, call 9-1-1 or go directly to the nearest hospital.
  • For non-emergencies, call Customer Service to find a doctor or health care professional in your network.
  • Talk to a nurse—24/7—by calling 1-855-828-1013 (TTY:  1-800-955-8771)
  • If you have your FirstCare member ID card, bring it with you when you get care.
  • If you don't have your ID card, call Customer Service or print a temporary card from our Member Self-Service portal.
