Texas Medicaid Providers Required to Revalidate Their Enrollment

Monday, May 11, 2015

Recently, the federal government implemented a new regulation requiring all Texas Medicaid providers to periodically revalidate their enrollment in the state’s Medicaid program. Per the mandate, Texas Medicaid providers who were enrolled prior to January 1, 2013, must reenroll by March 24, 2016.

To simplify the reenrollment process, the Texas Medicaid Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) Provider Enrollment Portal has been updated with new features such as:

  • Pre-populated demographic data from the provider's account information;
  • Allow providers to electronically sign their application agreements and upload supporting documentation;
  • Expanded error messages which provide additional information; and
  • Higher web browser capabilities
For additional guidance regarding the federal regulation and/or the reenrollment process, please visit TMHP’s Provider Reenrollment page at http://www.tmhp.com/Pages/Topics/ACA.aspx, contact a TMHP Provider Enrollment Representative at 1.800.925.9126 (select “Option 2”), or attend an upcoming Reenrollment Town Hall Meeting at one of the locations around the state (locations and times for these meetings can be found at http://www.tmhp.com/Pages/Education/Ed_Reg.aspx).
