Telehealth vs. Telemedicine

Telehealth—defined as a collection of means or methods for enhancing health care, public health, and health education delivery and support using telecommunications technologies, [and] encompassing a broad variety medical, behavioral, and pharmaceutical specialties, to deliver virtual medical, health, and education services to patients¹—allows you to visit a doctor, counselor, psychiatrist or dermatologist, but instead of physically travelling to an office, your appointment is conducted via secure video and/or phone. While telemedicine is actually a subset of telehealth, referring only to clinical services without an in-person visit.
